    Malmesbury School Open Days 2016

    “This school is simply wonderful”.

This is how one parent recently described the school and it is typical of the many positive comments we continue to hear from our parents and the community.

This school year has started very well for Malmesbury School.  This summer’s A-Level and GCSE results were excellent, confirming the school as one of the top performing comprehensives in the country; our GCSE results were our best ever.  Our performance at A- level and GCSE is consistently very strong and we have a proud history of academic excellence matched by exceptional artistic and sporting achievements.

Our most recent Ofsted inspection described the school as ‘Outstanding’ in all categories under the new tougher, short notice inspection; this is an important validation of everything that we do.  We are the lead School in the Avon Teaching School Alliance and the Athelstan Trust, both of which are focussed on sharing best practice between schools in order to raise standards.

We look forward to meeting you and showing you around our wonderful school where -

“The quality of teaching is remarkably high.”

“Relationships are excellent and high levels of respect are apparent between students and staff.”
