    Malmesbury School GCSE results 2016

This is another excellent year for our students who have produced the best ever set of GCSE results in the history of the school.  Our students have worked very hard and shown a really impressive attitude to their learning all the way through school.  They have, of course been helped by exceptional teaching and supportive parents.

Headteacher Tim Gilson says “I am delighted for our students who have earned the results they deserve; they now enter the next exciting phase of their education here in our sixth form or at college.  These results show the consistently outstanding teaching that our staff provide.  For the past four years over 70% of our students have achieved the benchmark 5A*-C including English and Maths.  Students should be very proud of the progress that they have made since they started in Year 7, there are many ways of measuring student success and whichever way you look at these results they are superb”.

77% of students achieved the benchmark 5A*- C including English and Maths

45% achieved the ‘academic’ English Baccalaureate

31% of total grades were A*/A

Special congratulations to; Ali Cummings, Victoria Gordon, Emilia Harley, Grace Hart, Isaac McAdam, Alice Nelson & Lorcan Purser, who all achieved a clean sweep of A*/A grades this year.

Congratulations also to Jack Browning, Alice Cavey, Isobel Cooper, Livi Curnock, Freya Dibble, Pip Edwards, Sylvain Fauvarque, Natalie Griffin, Rachael Hanwell, Campbell Ibbetson, Ella MacDonald, Isabelle Martin, Emily Roberts, Joe Samuels, Jessica Shaw & Chloe Walker  who all achieved at least 8 A*/A grades.
