Chris Robshaw shares his rugby tips with Malmesbury School pupils

One of the faces of last year's Rugby World Cup gave a helping hand to the pupils of Malmesbury School with four half an hour coaching sessions.

Chris Robshaw answered questions about his professional career and passed on tips about presenting the ball at rucks, handling and offloading the ball in tackles during his coaching session at the school's playing fields on Wednesday afternoon.

Dom Tucker, captain of the Year 9 rugby team, said: "I really enjoyed the rugby session because it was a once in a lifetime experience. Chris lead it really well and he was such a great coach. I came away with some great ideas for the drills."

The school, which boasts a large number of rugby players, got a great kick start from the rugby international for the beginning of the rugby season with coaching for the year 9, 10, 11 and Sixth Form Teams.

John Lambert, Head of Physical Education, said: "In the afternoon there was a question and answer session with students from a number of school teams in which Chris provided more of an insight into the life of a professional rugby player. It was a great opportunity for the students to meet such a high profile sports person who has been at the top of his sport for a number of seasons and who has represented England over 50 times. Chris’s knowledge and enthusiasm certainly made this a day that those involved with will never forget."
