Posted 18th Aug

Sixthform students at Malmesbury School have produced another excellent set of A- Level results this year.  The largest number of entries were again in the highly academic subjects of Maths and History with the Sciences and English close behind.

Headteacher, Tim Gilson says “Once again these results show the consistently high performance of the sixthform students at Malmesbury School with 30% of grades at A*/A, 64% of the grades A*/B and 88% A*- C.  This year’s results are up on the very good results of last year and are close to our best ever results.

This is not just about A* and A grades, many students have exceeded their expectations and show real ‘value added’ from their GCSE results.  All our sixthform students are to be congratulated for working incredibly hard and achieving such strong academic results in addition to their wider contributions to the leadership of the school.  Most of our students will now be going on to excellent universities to pursue their studies”.
