Welcome to Malmesbury School Sixth Form.

Students enjoy studying in the sixth form here and year on year they achieve excellent examination results. Malmesbury School is consistently one of the highest performing sixth forms in the region and in 2017 the A-Level results were amongst the very best nationally for state comprehensive schools.

We are very proud of our sixth form students; without fail they make the most of the wide range of opportunities to lead and support others in our school and are excellent role models for all members of the school community and ambassadors for the school.

Whether you wish to go to the best universities in the country, into employment or to any one of a wide range of specialist colleges or higher education establishments, you will receive personalised specialist support. The staff at Malmesbury School will go out of their way to support you and care for you during your time here. Our teaching staff are passionate subject experts who inspire students with their knowledge and enthusiasm. We believe that Malmesbury School Sixth Form is genuinely a ‘Happy, Caring and Excellent’ community that allows all our students to reach their potential.

Please read carefully through this prospectus and speak to the sixth form team to find out more.

Associate Headteacher’s Welcome

Our “Happy, Caring and Excellent” ethos extends well into our sixth form here at Malmesbury School. You can expect to be challenged academically, whilst supported to achieve both in and out of the classroom. Our Excellence Programme offers you a variety of ways to develop outside of your A Level subjects, so that you leave us with the skills and confidence required for further study and work.

We recognise that sixth form is about you becoming more independent, we have a dedicated sixth form specific area which includes teaching rooms, a common room (and food servery) and sixth form only study rooms. In addition, we encourage all of our sixth form students to be part of the wider school community – taking part in the house system, school events, drama productions, music shows and various trips. Our Head Students also lead the school council and are fantastic role models to our younger students.

We would love to welcome you to our inclusive community and we know you’ll thrive here at Malmesbury School – academically and beyond.
