Full Time Exams Officer

Start date – November 2019
Salary – NJC Scale points 13 - 25 (£22,021 - £28,785) Pro Rata
Contract type – Term time plus 3 weeks (42 weeks), 8.30 – 4.30 (37 hrs per week)

Malmesbury School is looking for a highly motivated Examinations Officer to manage all aspects of internal and external examinations at the school, including ensuring that the Exam Boards and JCQ Regulations are adhered to at all times.

This is an important and challenging role which sits in the centre of the academic life of the school and involves close interaction with students, senior staff, and a team of invigilators. Experience of administration compliance and regulations, along with exemplary attention to detail will be important prerequisites. The Examinations Officer will work as part of a team in securing excellent teaching, learning and curriculum provision.

We are looking for:
• Competency with Word, Outlook, Excel and other MS software. Knowledge of SIMS is desirable
• Experience of working within a similar role
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

Full Time Technician – Design and Technology

Start date – ASAP

Salary – Grade C (£16,755 – £17,391) Pro Rata.

Contract type – Term time (40 weeks), 8.30 – 4.00

Malmesbury School requires a Technician to join our excellent Design and Technology Faculty, assisting with setting up equipment for practical technology lessons (resistant materials).  The work is varied ranging from cutting materials to ensuring equipment is safe, clean and operational, to loading the washing machine.  This is a hands on practical job, training will be provided in using equipment such as a lathe.  You must be flexible and adaptable and willing to put your hand to anything. You will also be required to provide support to Home Economics and Textiles. The work is varied ranging from cutting materials or weighing ingredients, loading the washing machine, setting up equipment such as sewing machines for practical lessons, cutting fabric; to ensuring equipment is safe, clean and operational and ensuring food rooms are ready for lessons.

Malmesbury School requires an Additional Needs Assistant to join our excellent Learning Support team. You should be adaptable and enthusiastic with a commitment to working with students.  The role will involve supporting the medical/health needs of a student by following the needs outlined in the student’s health care plan.  Health training and competency to be provided by the young person’s community nursing team.

This role is attached to a specific student. If, and when, the student becomes independent, the post will cease.

Malmesbury School requires an enthusiastic, Cover Supervisor to join our Cover Team.  The school has superb accommodation and Faculties occupy a suite of classrooms grouped around a faculty office. All classrooms have interactive whiteboards.

Cover supervisors play an important role in supervising classes when a member of teaching staff is absent.  The role involves ensuring cover work is carried out by students and classroom management.  Cover supervisors also carry out general administration work when not on cover, and work throughout the school.
