Minibus Maintenance

Start date – As soon as possible

Salary – Grade D (£9.16/hour), term time only (38 weeks)

Casual hours (Flexible) 

Malmesbury School requires an enthusiastic person to look after our two minibuses. The role involves arranging regulatory checks, taking the minibuses to and from the garage. Checking on fuel and filling as necessary. Washing and cleaning the minibuses weekly, and general safety and maintenance checks. You would need to be available to take the minibuses to the garage if a problem is notified to us, and to jump-start the minibuses in cases of battery failure.

Teacher of Science

Start date- September 2019

Salary - MPS Athelstan Trust

Malmesbury School requires a dynamic, enthusiastic and well-qualified teacher of Science to join the Science Faculty. The Faculty has been awarded the Platinum Science Mark, which recognises the outstanding work of the Science Faculty. Applications are welcome from teachers of all science specialisms including NQTs. The school occupies a modern building with a suite of laboratories built around a faculty office and prep rooms. All labs have an interactive whiteboard or Clevertouch screen and computer. Students follow either AQA Trilogy Combined Science or the AQA Separate Sciences at GCSE with exam results for the last few years being exceptional. We have large numbers of students studying at least one science subject (Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Psychology) at A-level, with outstanding exam results. The Science Faculty has an ethos of “Inspiring and Equipping young people to discover their world” and we believe in using practical work to inspire our students and to support students in developing their investigative skills. The Faculty has a very successful YouTube Channel and a Facebook page which we encourage you to visit.

 

Teacher of Mathematics

Start date – September 2019 

Salary – MPS Athelstan Trust

Malmesbury School requires an enthusiastic, well-qualified teacher of Mathematics. Applications from NQTs are welcome. We have large numbers of students studying Mathematics at AS & A2 level and a history of examination success. The school has superb accommodation and the Mathematics Faculty occupies a suite of classrooms equipped with interactive whiteboards grouped around a large faculty office.  

 

Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages

Start date – September 2019 

Salary – MPS Athelstan Trust 

Malmesbury School requires a dynamic, enthusiastic and well-qualified NQT of Modern Foreign Languages with  the ability to teach either French, German or Spanish, or any combination of these languages up to GCSE level. The experience and ability to teach at least one language to A level would be an advantage. Applications from MPS teachers are also welcome. Modern Languages are valued at Malmesbury and are a popular subject at our school with a number of A Level students and GCSE groups in all three languages.  We have a history of excellent examination results and are involved in leading teacher training programmes such as the TSST for MFL as well as hosting PGCE students from the University of Bristol.  We have established International links with schools in Spain, France, Germany, Denmark and China and teachers within the department organise and participate in our very successful exchanges programme.

 

Cleaner – Extended Services provision

Grade B (£15,115-£15,375 pro rata) 5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.

To provide general cleaning in the Extended Services provision (The Bungalow), 1 hr per day. Cleaning equipment and products provided
